Shop Floor Journal Entry Creation - Purpose

The Shop Floor Journal Entry Creation program (IA120E) processes transactions on the Shop Floor Audit Trail file (IA120AL) with a transaction date prior to the period close date or requested cutoff date (whichever is lesser of the two) that have not been processed by Inventory Accounting. If the program is run as a post run, the transactions are updated as having been processed by Inventory Accounting.
The Shop Floor Journal Entry file (IA120AP) is updated with direct labor hour transactions, direct machine hour transactions, and quantity complete transactions. Three reports are produced: Direct Labor Summary Worksheet (IA120A), Burden Summary Worksheet (IA120B), and Miscellaneous Costs Summary Worksheet (IA120C). The Shop Floor Journal Entry Creation Error report (IA120D) shows any exceptions which occurred during processing.
