Subsystem and Batch Journal Validation and List - Purpose
GL030P
The Subsystem and Batch Journal Validation and List program (GL030P) is used to enter journals for all subsystems which send transactions to the General Ledger module. Each journal is validated and listed on the Subsystem and Batch Journal Transaction Edit List (GL030) if valid or the Subsystem and Batch Journal Transaction Error Listing (GL031) with error messages if invalid. Invalid journals are classified as recoverable or non-recoverable. Recoverable journals are reported and sent to the Journal Transaction file (GL010AL) for future correction using the Journal Validation program (GL010E). Non-recoverable journals are reported and removed from the system.
