Member Check for Company/Location - Purpose

DM351E

The Member Check for Company/Location program (DM351E) is a batch program that validates if a magnetic bank remittance already exists for a company/location.  DM351E is called by the Bank Remittance Creation Request program (DM350E).  To perform the validation, the CL program (DM351C) creates the Member List Outfile (DM351AP) from the Bank Remittance Transaction multiple member file (DM100AP).  Each record on the file represents a magnetic remittance created by The Bank Remittance Creation program (DM540E).

DM351 checks the value of the company/location code against DM351AP.  If the company and location code match on the Member List Outfile, a magnetic bank remittance already exists and the program sets a parameter flag (PFLG) accordingly.  A remittance creation with a magnetic support type cannot be requested for a Co/Loc if one already exists.  Once an existing magnetic remittance is saved to tape, it is deleted from the Bank Remittance Transaction file (DM100AP) and a new magnetic remittance type can be created.
