Draft Print Request - Purpose

DM400E

The Draft Print Request program (DM400E) is an online program that allows the user to submit a request to print drafts via the Draft Print program  (DM610E).  DM400E validates three scenarios:

1.   The user enters the draft number.  If the draft has already been remitted (existing record in bank remittance file), the Draft Print program includes the company bank name and number on the draft.

2.   The user enters the remittance number.  The program accesses the Bank Remittance and Draft Master Joined Logical file (DMBKRJL3) to read remitted drafts.

3.   The user enters "Y" in the Printed Drafts field.  The program validates that the user has also entered the draft number or remittance number.  If Printed Drafts equals "Y", the Draft Print program reprints only previously printed drafts.  Otherwise, if Printed Drafts equals "N", the Draft Print program prints drafts that have never been printed.

The user can enter the draft number or the remittance number or neither.  After DM400E validates user data it submits a batch request to run the Draft Print program (DM610E).  DM610E processes the request based on the selected criteria and prints the drafts.
