Draft Print - Purpose

DM610E

The Draft Print program (DM610E) is a batch program that prints Drafts (DM610A).  The print run is requested from the Draft Print Request Screen (DM400S01).  DM610E formats the draft print based on the following:

1.   The user entered the draft number.  The program accesses the Draft Master file sorted by draft number (DMDRFPL1) to retrieve draft information.  If the draft has already been remitted (existing record in bank remittance file), the Draft print includes the company bank name and number on the draft.

2.   The user entered the remittance number.  The program accesses the Bank Remittance and Draft Master joined logical file (DMBKRJL3) to read remitted drafts.  The Bank Remittance Master is a joined file over the Draft Master file and Bank Remittance file.

3.   The user did not enter either the draft number or remittance number.  The program access the Draft Master file sorted by draft number (DMDRFPL1) to retrieve draft information.  If the draft has already been remitted (existing record in bank remittance file), the Draft print includes the company bank name and number on the draft.

4.   The user entered "Y" in the Printed Drafts field.  The program formats the report for previously printed drafts.  If the user enters "N" or takes the default, the program formats the report for unprinted drafts.

DM610E prints the drafts based on the following criteria:

1.   The status must be either submitted ("S") or accepted ("A").

2.   The draft was manually created.

3.   The draft was created by the system and:

a.   draft was not pre-accepted.

b.   draft was pre-accepted but has status of accepted and has been remitted to a bank.
