Draft Inquiry - Purpose

DM800E

The Draft Inquiry program (DM800E) is an online program that allows the user to view information about drafts and their associated open items. The program first displays the Draft Inquiry Selection Screen (DM800S01), from which the user may enter a combination of select fields to limit displayed information.  The program retrieves this information from the Draft Master file (DMDRFP).

The program validates fields on the Draft Inquiry Selection screen (DM800S01) as follows:

1.   If the user enters a customer, the remittance number, remittance date, and bank code must be blank.

2.   If the user enters a draft number, due dates, draft status, currency code, remittance date, remittance number, and bank code must be blank.

3.   If the user enters remittance date, customer, draft number, remittance number, and bank code must be blank.

4.   If the user enters remittance number, customer, draft number, due date, draft status, currency code, remittance date, and bank code must be blank.

5.   If the user enters the bank code, customer, draft number, remittance date, and remittance number must be blank.

If the user enters a draft number, the program displays the Draft Detail Screen (DM800S03).  Otherwise, the program displays a Draft List screen (DM800S02) from which the user can select a draft to view detail information.  For a draft which has been applied to a payment, if the user presses command key F14 on the Draft Detail screen, the program displays a list of open items paid with the draft on the Applied Open Items Screen (DM800S04).

If the user called DM800E from the A/R Inquiry program (AR230E) by pressing F21, AR230E passes the company and location number to DM800E.  DM800E then fills in these parameters on the Draft Inquiry Selection screen.  If AR230E called the program from the A/R Inquiry Customer Activity screen (AR230S2A), DM800E also fills in the customer number.  If AR230E called the program from the Payment Applications screen (AR230S7A), DM800E fills in draft type and number.
