Container Management
Container Management
The container management feature allows you to manage and track inventory balances of containers defined in the system. In addition to tracking containers owned by each of your plants, container management also tracks containers owned by your customers and vendors. For example, you may receive containers that belong to a customer and send them to an outside vendor for processing before returning them to the customer. Using container management to track the containers through these processes gives you better control and more visibility of the containers you use.
Container management allows you to record inventory transactions for containers. You can use these transactions to record container inventory balances, adjustments to container inventory levels, and container stock transfers between plants, customers, and vendors. Reports and online inquiries allow you to see the current locations and inventory balances of the containers tracked by container management.
