Time Delay for Purchases of Fixed Assets (AP)
Time Delay for Purchases of Fixed Assets (AP)
In some countries, there is a time delay between the VAT declaration for "normal" purchases and for purchases of fixed assets. If this situation applies to you, you should specify on Reference File category 229 that the Time Delay flag should be displayed on invoice header screens within Accounts Payable. If the Reference File category field is set to yes, you must specify on the Accounts Payable invoice entry screens whether the transaction should be delayed. The VAT for all lines on an invoice must be declared at the same time; you cannot delay some lines and declare the others in the current period. The VAT delay flag will be included on the VAT History File, so you can report the two types of purchases separately. However, the flag does not affect processing within MAC-PAC.
