Processing Implications

Template processing is quite complex, and can have an impact on you processing time.  Specifically, the number of records you store in Reference File category G86 - Pricing/Discount Template Priority determines the number of records that the system must search through before it will apply a template.  Therefore, it is recommended that you limit the use of templates to the minimum number that meets your business needs.  A general guideline is that 1-3 templates will not effect processing time significantly.  However, if you define more than three templates, the processing time will increase in proportion to the number of templates that you define.
