SalestaxIIT from Independent Systems Offers AS/400 Sales and Use Tax for US & Canada

Independent Systems offers Sales and Use tax calculation software, databases and forms, Payroll tax calculation software and databases.
SalestaxII T is a computerized Sales and Use tax rate database. Included software gives the user lookup and calculation capabilities for Sales and Use tax rates for all 50 states, U.S. Territories and Possessions, and Canada . The database contains both current and previous state, county, city, transit, and any other required rates which make up total sales and use tax and allows you to link to MAC -PAC XE order entry and / or invoicing.
SalestaxII is modularly designed and easily integrated with MAC -PAC XE as well as just about any order entry / invoicing system. Monthly updates are provided via internet download.
From menu item selections in the user lookup, you can:
- View both current and previous sales and use tax rates, transit tax rates, or any other 'Sales Tax' levied by a municipality
- View rate change effective dates
- View state, county, city, town, and transit portions of the sales and use rate
- View special factors such as maximum rates or amounts, indications as to where sales and use tax is to be reported, indications as to whether tax is to be calculated at origin or destination, etc.
- Calculate sales and use tax on an amount you enter
- Look up by zip code, city name, or location code
- Store calculated tax, taxable, and non-taxable amounts for later printout so that you can transfer figures to various returns
- Only order the states you need, thereby reducing cost
