TDCI Training Demand Increases with High Level of Activity in the
MAC-PAC XE User Community

Q: What do Draper Inc., Imperial Group, LASCO Fittings, Ruskin/ASC, and Webster Industries all have in common besides the fact that MAC-PAC XE is their strategic ERP solution?

A: They are all among the latest organizations to ask TDCI to run on-site MAC-PAC XE training sessions in support of MAC-PAC XE initiatives within their company.

“We’re seeing an increase in the number of companies running projects to expand or improve their use of MAC-PAC XE,” says Shelley Horn, TDCI Customer Account Manager. “Companies will often kick off their project with a training session on the new module they are implementing, or a workshop around a particular function where they want to improve the use of MAC-PAC XE. We’re also seeing companies request training programs when they hire new people or make some form of organizational change that puts people into new roles.”

Recent training topics have ranged from MAC-PAC XE Technical Overviews and TDCI Integrator training for IT personnel, to Manufacturing Planning workshops and Expert Configurator training for end users. Thirteen companies (a 60%+ increase over the previous year) also sent people to the ‘Tour de MAC-PAC XE’ functional overview held at the Perspectives 2006 TDCI Customer Forum, and nine companies have requested that class on site since being offered. On-site sessions are often run as workshops using standard training materials, but with agendas customized to particular needs.

"In addition to educating new staff members to MAC-PACs capabilities, the training session we did on Manufacturing Planning has helped us take advantage of other aspects of the system for immediate improvement and optimize future results as well,' said Kennith Moore, Imperial Group Controller.

Wanda Heyman, Webster Industries MIS Manager said: “The MAC-PAC XE technical overview was a great way to introduce our new IT employee to the product. It provided a great foundation for someone familiar with the iSeries, but not MAC-PAC.”

After a training session on the TDCI Integrator, Kevin Cain, Draper IT manager said: “TDCI’s hands-on approach to the Integrator training helped us really understand what we can do with the product. That will be invaluable as we proceed with our upcoming integration projects.”
