Gorman-Rupp Celebrates 10th Anniversary of MAC-PAC Implementation

The Gorman-Rupp Company (Gorman-Rupp) recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of the company's initial MAC-PAC implementation with a party for the MAC-PAC team. Rhonda and Dan DeMuth from TDCI both attended (they never turn down a party invitation!).

Gorman-Rupp has maintained a formal 'MAC-PAC team' throughout the ten years they have used the system. The team consists of representatives from all major functions and divisions of the company as well as IT. Team members are comprised of selected department managers. The team meets formally every month to discuss subjects such as training needs (e.g. new employees), priorities of requests, ideas for improved usage, and occasional enhancement requests.

"We've had a lot of success with MAC-PAC over the years, and I attribute a lot of that to the workings of the MAC-PAC team," said Bill Danuloff, Gorman-Rupp Vice President and CIO. "By meeting formally every month, as well as on an as-needed basis, we identify both problems and opportunities early, and often work out how to best address them on the spot. That keeps us continually moving forward and evolving the way we use the system to meet our requirements as our business evolves."

Headquartered in Mansfield , Ohio , Gorman-Rupp ( www.gormanrupp.com ) is a leading manufacturer of pumps and pumping systems for the municipal, water, wastewater, sewage, industrial, construction, petroleum, fire and OEM markets.

Gorman-Rupp utilizes nearly the full scope of core MAC-PAC XE applications, as well as the BuyDesign Configurator and Sales solutions, the Vizion for MAC-PAC XE Business Intelligence solution, and the Varsity partner solution for shipping.
