Cosmolab Inc., the largest private label manufacturer of color cosmetics in the U.S., and a MAC-PAC user since 1989, has exciting activity underway with MAC-PAC XE. Following their return to TDCI's MAC-PAC XE maintenance program earlier this year, Cosmolab has recently:

• Upgraded their MAC-PAC XE license agreement to an Enterprise License.
• Started implementation of MAC-PAC XE for the company's new manufacturing and distribution operations in Taiwan.
• Started planning for implementation of several MAC-PAC XE capabilities, including Transfer Orders and EDI to support their growing organization.

"TDCI's new Enterprise License option gives us an excellent way to expand our use of MAC-PAC XE from both a geographical point of view, and in terms of the applications we use," said Todd Kirby, Cosmolab Controller. An Enterprise License provides for access to all MAC-PAC XE core applications, and unlimited usage across the entire enterprise.

The main driver for Cosmolab's expanded use of MAC-PAC XE, is the opening of the company's new operation in Taichung, Taiwan. Cosmolab's Asian division is designed to be a total solutions provider. In addition to traditional cosmetic manufacturing and distribution capabilities, it will provide comprehensive sourcing and quality assurance for all types of Asian packaging. One of Cosmolab's most experienced senior executives has moved to Taiwan to ensure the smooth start-up of the Asian business.

The Taiwan facility will be implemented on Cosmolab's MAC-PAC XE system managed at headquarters in Lewisburg , Tennessee. MAC-PAC XE Transfer Order capabilities will then be implemented to help manage material movement between Tennessee and Taiwan operations. Cosmolab is also taking advantage of the capabilities Business Process Manager immediately, and will implement EDI in 2006.
