August 8, 2005 - Columbus, Ohio. TDCI, Inc., a diversified enterprise software and consulting company serving both mid-size and large manufacturing organizations, today announced that the company has acquired exclusive world-wide rights to the MAC-PAC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software from Accenture. Originally developed by Andersen Consulting in the 1980s and 1990s, the MAC-PAC software product is in use today within hundreds of manufacturing and distribution sites around the world. Many of those companies participate in a maintenance & support program offered by TDCI, which has been the authorized support organization for MAC-PAC since 1997. TDCI has expanded the original MAC-PAC solution to include advanced capabilities for web-based ebusiness, engineering, and enterprise application integration. TDCI's expanded solution is called MAC-PAC XET. In addition, TDCI has built and recently launched a related solution suite called the BuyDesignT Product Customization Management System, which can be integrated with any ERP product or in-house developed business system. "Gaining the rights to MAC-PAC enables us to solidify our commitment to long-term support of the software and continued enhancement of the entire MAC-PAC XE solution suite," stated Dan DeMuth, TDCI President. "In short, it gives us the ability to ensure that MAC-PAC XE remains a vibrant and cost-effective ERP solution for many years to come." "The MAC-PAC user community is very pleased that TDCI now has full control of the direction of the MAC-PAC XE solution," stated Bill Danuloff, Gorman-Rupp Corporate Vice President for Info rmation Technology and President of TDCI's MAC-PAC XE User Advisory Board. "TDCI has provided excellent support since taking over and has done a good job of developing the kind of new applications companies like ours have needed." One of the uniquely strong features of the original MAC-PAC software was its product configuration capabilities. Because of that, many of the companies that have adopted it are configure-to-order manufacturers in industries such as windows & doors, HVAC systems, construction equipment, and industrial machinery. Working closely with those companies over the past several years, TDCI has developed a suite of solutions focused on sales and service of such products utilizing a new generation of web-based configuration technology. Those solutions are now being marketed as the BuyDesign Product Customization Management System, as well as components of the MAC-PAC XE solution. BuyDesign is now in use by a number of leading companies using other ERP products as well as companies using MAC-PAC XE . TDCI has recently initiated joint marketing relationships with other ERP companies to market BuyDesign as part of their solutions. For instance, Tectura, the number one provider of Microsoft-based ERP, CRM, and technology solutions, is in the process of integrating core BuyDesign components with the Microsoft Navision and Axapta ERP products. About TDCITDCI is a diversified enterprise software and consulting company serving both mid-market and large organizations. TDCI's proven MAC-PAC ® XET ERP solution for the IBM iSeries/400 provides comprehensive support for manufacturing, distribution, financial, e-business, and engineering management.
