Cosmolab Inc., a MAC-PAC user since 1989, has recently joined the TDCI MAC-PAC XE maintenance program. Even though Cosmolab has remained an active MAC-PAC XE user, the company had been off maintenance since Andersen Consulting turned support over to TDCI in 1998. The move back to maintenance followed the implementation of the MAC-PA XE Order Processing (OP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules in 2004.

"Access to TDCI's MAC-PAC XE enhancements, PTFs, and HELPLINE service saves us a lot of time and effort while also providing peace of mind, knowing there are knowledgeable product experts always available when we need them," states Dan LaRese, Cosmolab CFO. "It's great to just pick up the phone or go to the support website and get a big headstart on the research," adds Marie Rainey, Cosmolab's MAC-PAC XE system administrator and programmer.

The new MAC-PAC XE applications replaced the interfaced order management system of Cosmolab's former parent company. TDCI provided consulting and training services to speed the OP/AR implementation effort. Cosmolab asked TDCI to assist with the project because of TDCI's in-depth knowledge of MAC-PAC XE, access to release 10.2 PTFs and training materials, and TDCI's ability to go beyond just installation of the new software to helping Cosmolab define an efficient, reliable order management process using MAC-PAC XE capabilities.
