The Sarbanes-Oxley Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act outlines strict new reporting requirements that are a must for public companies and a good idea for those that are privately owned. As discussed at the recent MAC-PAC XE user conference, TDCI is in the process of defining a multi-faceted 'Resource Package' to help companies that use MAC-PAC XE more easily understand and satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Resources being planned include:

• New reporting tools and solutions (e.g. using Vizion BI - see separate article).
• Whitepapers outlining methodologies for using MAC-PAC XE information to meet various requirements.
• Expert Reference Notes that document frequently asked questions or things to look out for that may cause a compliance issue.
• Selected MAC-PAC XE enhancements to make key information easier to obtain.

A workshop is being considered to provide a forum for interactive review and discussion of these and other potential resources.
