Solutions to Enable On-line Configuration, Ordering, and Status Inquiry

Quaker Window Products Company, Inc., a leading manufacturer of top quality vinyl, wood, and aluminum windows and doors, has selected the MAC-PAC XE Customer Centric Configuration (C3), Customer Center web-based storefront, and FlexAutomation Product Definition Generator (PDG) solutions as the basis for a new web-based dealer support system. The new system will allow Quaker's dealers across North America to collaboratively develop end-customer quotes, enter orders for both custom and standard products, and view delivery status on-line.

Before selecting TDCI, Quaker performed a detail pilot evaluation of various software solutions. Quaker found that the other solutions could not meet their needs for both residential and commercial customers. In addition, Quaker determined that it would take a larger IT staff to implement and support the other solutions, where they felt they could absorb the TDCI solution with the current IT staff supplemented by TDCI services during initial implementation.

As part of the project, TDCI will provide services to install and configure the software, customize the user interface to match Quaker branding, and assist with development of light-weight CAD models. Quaker expects to have the new system on-line by mid 2004.
