New Windows Version of MAC-PAC XE Priority Manager Available in January

TDCI is pleased to announce several new solutions and options that extend the MAC-PAC XE Priority Manager (Priority Manager) module. Priority Manager is an extension of MAC-PAC XE that supports the principles of Rapid Priority Management (RPM). RPM is an approach to manufacturing execution that analyzes and organizes supply/demand information already existing in MAC-PAC to clearly identify the near-term actions operations managers need to take in order to ship orders on time, reduce expediting activity, and minimize inventory levels. Applying the principles of RPM, dozens of manufacturers have already made dramatic improvements in throughput and delivery performance. Learn more about RPM – what it is and what it can do for you.

New MAC-PAC XE Priority Manager solutions and options include:

A new Microsoft Windows version

This version takes the same proven capabilities of the AS/400 version of Priority Manager and makes them available to run on a PC with a full Windows-based user interface.

The Windows version will be generally availability in January.

Discounted solution bundles now through end of 2006:

TDCI is offering specially priced solution bundles for Priority Manager for a limited time. Now through the end of 2006, you can license the base Priority Manager module plus any 3 of the selected add-ons listed below for either the Windows or AS/400 version of Priority Manager at a 30% discount off list prices. To qualify you must commence your 30 day free Priority Manager evaluation prior to 12/29/06.

Whether you manufacture complex machinery, consumer goods, or anything in between, you can configure exactly the solution you need at a substantial savings with this special offer.

Optional add-on capabilities:

The following capabilities are all available as add-ons to the base Priority Manager solution (both Windows and AS/400 versions):

    • Simulation – what-if capabilities to show the impact of a ‘potential’ new order on existing orders
    • Production Management – automatic retrieval of up-to-the-minute status (e.g. current work center) of work orders from MAC-PAC when certain Priority Manager reports are run
    • Capacity – forward loading of work centers vs. stated capacity to show load associated strictly with work to support actual customer orders
    • Flow Manufacturing – automatic generation of MAC-PAC transactions for intermediate work orders when end item order is completed. This allows for streamlined shop floor reporting while retaining all material and labor detail for costing, and WITHOUT the need to modify MAC-PAC BOMs or Routings.
    • Inter-Plant – Provides planners, buyers and supervisors at all levels of supplying plants with visibility of item quantities and dates required in direct support of actual customer demand (vs. quantities headed for the shelf).

Fully Integrated with MAC-PAC XE

Both the AS400 and Windows versions of Priority Manger are fully integrated into MAC-PAC XE. Either can be used with or without the MAC-PAC Requirements Planning (RP) module or the MAC-PAC Expert Configurator (EC) module. Neither version requires the creation of a special project team for a successful implementation nor do they require new data - Priority Manager uses DATA ALREADY CONTAINED IN THE MAC-PAC DATABASE.

Priority Manager is already in use by MAC-PAC XE users such as Camfil Farr, Cincinnati Incorporated, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, ImagePoint, Lau Industries, and Link-Belt.
