Recent Creative Foam Experience: A Nice Example of the Value of MAC-PAC XE Communications and Resources
|
Most companies that use MAC-PAC XE clearly understand the value of TDCI’s primary maintenance and support services, but sometimes it’s the communication that takes place among members of the MAC-PAC XE community that really brings that value out. In a recent discussion with TDCI’s Kevin Smith, Manager of Customer Support, Mark Lozen, Creative Foam’s Corporate Manager of Information Technology, relayed a nice example of the value companies often receive from MAC-PAC XE communication programs and user community events. Mark’s story goes like this… In August 2006, Creative Foam’s Jennifer Martin, Senior Programmer, attended Perspectives 2006 – the TDCI Customer Forum – in Columbus. That week, she attended the Sunday ‘Tour de MAC-PAC XE’ class as well as the conference. In the class and conference sessions, Jennifer became aware of a number of new PTFs and enhancements that had been released over the previous year or two. She then talked with a number of other MAC-PAC XE users about how useful some of these updates had been to their companies. That helped Jennifer visualize how they would help Creative Foam as well. After further researching updates on the MAC-PAC XE support web site back home, Jennifer identified and implemented nearly 20 updates that have been extremely valuable to Creative Foam. As part of that process, Creative Foam utilized their MAC-PAC XE test environment that has become very useful in its own right. “It’s exciting to see companies take full advantage of the resources, communication vehicles, and user networking opportunities we work hard to provide,” says Kevin. “There’s a lot of value in staying connected with people within the MAC-PAC XE user community, and with the things TDCI is doing to support and maintain the product.”
