Tip of the Month

Each MAC-PAC Tip of the Month is a selected Expert Reference Note (ERN) from the MAC-PAC ‘Helpful Hints' database in the MAC-PAC website. You can get the full text of this note or search the database by logging in to Support, then selecting ‘Helpful Hints' at www.tdci.com/macpac.

Q:   Can a Transfer Order Shipment be over received or over shipped?

A:   No. A shipment can be under received, by assigning a shrinkage code to account for the reduced receipt amount. However, Transfer Control is not currently designed to accommodate over receiving. If an amount greater than the transfer order must be received, then the transfer order shipment must be reversed and order modified to include the additional amount. The transfer order must then be shipped again and then received at the increased order quantity amount.

Total shipped quantity cannot exceed the Reserved Qty on the TO Line Record.
