March 2011 -Steelcraft, an Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies company and a MAC-PAC user since 1994, has recently returned to TDCI’s MAC-PAC XE maintenance and support service.  In addition, Steelcraft is now planning to replace MAC-PAC Expert Configurator (EC) with embedded BuyDesign Configurator, and to deploy BuyDesign Channel Sales, as well as BuyDesign Flex2D and Flex3D.

“MAC-PAC has been a good business system for Steelcraft and we are happy to be working with TDCI to take it to the next level,” said Maryann Heid, Steelcraft IT Project Manager. “The ability to modernize our product configuration capability without making a complete change to our core business system is an important advantage for us.”

Steelcraft’s decision to move forward with MAC-PAC XE and BuyDesign is part of an initiative across all of Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies to utilize BuyDesign in conjunction with multiple business systems, including Oracle ERP and CRM and others.
