August 2010 --Webster Industries Inc. recently completed the upgrade from their customized version 11.1 of MAC-PAC to MAC-PAC XE version 12.2.  The process took just a little over three months and was done completely in-house with guidance from TDCI Support. 

“The upgrade went quite smoothly and on schedule,” said Wanda Heyman, Webster IT Manager. “We have good AS/400 skills and MAC-PAC knowledge in our IT group.  So with the tools provided by TDCI, it was pretty straight-forward.”  Webster is the latest MAC-PAC user to upgrade to V12 in order to gain new functionality as well as maximum supportability.  In addition, Webster is now planning to use Business Process Manager (BPM) and Repetitive Supply (RS) modules to streamline a number of different processes. 

The V12 upgrade followed a November 2009 TDCI MAC-PAC Usage Assessment which was performed shortly after Webster returned to TDCI’s MAC-PAC XE Maintenance & Support Program.  They had been off the program for five years.  “Access to MAC-PAC XE V12 is one of the real benefits of being on the maintenance & support program,” said Heyman. “And we continue to be pleased with the knowledge, helpful attitude and quick response of the TDCI team.”
