December 2009 --Long-time MAC-PAC users Link-Belt Construction Company (Link-Belt) and The Ruskin Company (Ruskin) are in the final stages of migrating from MAC-PAC Expert Configurator (EC) to BuyDesign Configurator for MAC-PAC XE for all of their respective product configuration functions. Both companies are using TDCI’s EC rules migration tools and services, and both plan to fully replace EC with BuyDesign Configurator for both Order Entry and MO generation. For both Link-Belt and Ruskin, the primary reasons for moving from EC to BuyDesign Configurator within MAC-PAC are:
“We’re excited about moving to the BuyDesign rules development environment,” says Dan Rau, VP of Engineering at Ruskin. “And once we’ve made the move, we’re looking forward to using the new capabilities BuyDesign gives us to make our whole process – from rules development through order entry – more intuitive for everyone involved.” For Link-Belt, the move also gives them a common product configurator for use within their planned dealer quoting and ordering system which will be based on BuyDesign Channel Sales. Bruce Kabalen, Marketing Communications Manager at Link-Belt says: “Utilizing the Channel Sales component in concert with the BuyDesign Configurator, will put our distributor sales force and our sales management team on the same page. Are goal is continuous improvement and excellent customer service in all areas of our company, and this is a major step in that direction.” To request a datasheet on BuyDesign Configurator for MAC-PAC XE, and to discuss how it could help your company modernize and extend your company’s product configuration processes, contact Shelley Horn at 614-781-2325 x1119 or shorn@tdci.com. ©TDCI Inc., 2009 Columbus,
