This screen is used to select a stocking location for definition or maintenance. Stocking locations are specified when stock transactions are recorded, and inventory balances may be reported and reviewed by stocking locations.
COMPANY/WAREHOUSE
Required. The company and warehouse in which the stock location is found. Must be a defined company/warehouse and you must have authority to the company/warehouse (Reference File Category 409).
LOCATION IDENTIFICATION
Required. Provides an identification for an inventory location. The location 'WIP' is not allowed as it is used exclusively by the Shop Floor Control module for processing automatic manufacturing order receipts and component issues.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Must be 1 (addition), 2 (change), or 3 (deletion). The location cannot be deleted if:
- it is the primary stocking location for a part
- it has active stock records (even if the stock balance is zero).
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process the changes.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
