This screen is used to select a maintenance option for an engineering change order (ECO).  An ECO is a request for a change in the manufacturing process, for example, a component substitution.  Each ECO may affect one or several part structures.

ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER NUMBER

Required.  Enter the number of the engineering change order you wish to maintain.  This field must not contain all nines or blanks.

MAINTENANCE CODE

Required.  Enter the code for the maintenance function you wish to perform for the specified engineering change order.  For additions, the specified ECO number must not exist on the Engineering Changes File.  For changes and deletions, the specified ECO number must exist on the Engineering Changes File.

Option 1 allows you to add an engineering change order to the Engineering Changes File.

Option 2 allows you to change the effectivity date or description of the specified engineering change order.  An engineering change order may be changed at any time, provided the effectivity date is not changed to a date earlier than the current date and the description is not changed to blanks.

Option 3 allows you to delete the specified engineering change order.  You may not delete an ECO if parts exist on the Product Structure File associated with the specified ECO.

COMMAND KEYS
