The Department File Maintenance screen is used to add or delete a department number. It is also used to change the description associated with an existing department number. The department number is used to group workcenters together for reporting and accounting purposes.
DEPARTMENT NUMBER
Display only. The department number entered on the previous screen.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Required. The name of the department. Must be left-justified.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update the Department File with the entered information and display the previous screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Return to the System Support Menu without updating the Department File.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F10 - Display the DE System Control File Maintenance Function Select screen without updating the Department File.
