The Design Engineering Calendar File Maintenance/ Inquiry screen allows you to define what days of the month are shop working days.

If the Master Scheduling application is installed, define the week start day on the Reference File (Category C13) before using this screen.  (To define a Reference File Category, return to the System Support Menu and choose option 11).

To the right of each date on the calendar, enter one of the following codes:

* - Not a working day

W - Working day

The default value for weekdays is W.  The default values for Saturday and Sunday are determined by Weekend Work.

Options - Reference File Category C13.  (To change the Weekend Work Options, press F10 to display the function select screen, then choose option 11 to enter Reference File Maintenance - Category C13).  The calendar must be updated far enough into the future so that parts with a long lead time may be scheduled.  Reference File Category C14 will hold the "warning" and end dates to help determine how far into the future a given calendar has been calculated.

CALENDAR

Display Only.  This field displays the calendar code and the decoded calendar information associated with the code.  The calendar code data is found on Reference File category 013.

DAY HEADING

Display Only.  This field displays the names of the standard calendar days of the week.

DAY

The specific calendar day that you wish to maintain or inquire upon.

WORK OPTION

Used to indicate whether this is a work day or not.  This field can/will contain a W (work day) or an * (non-work day).

COMMAND KEYS

Enter - UPDATE the Calendar File for the currently displayed month and display the next month.  (In INQUIRY Mode, ENTER advances the calendar by a month, similar to the F6 key in UPDATE mode).

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option, mnemonic or an OS/400 command (if the user is authorized) can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.  (In Inquiry Mode only).

F3    - Display the System Support Menu without updating the Calendar File (In INQUIRY Mode, display the Inventory Control or JIT Planning Menu).

F4    - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned.  If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.  (In Maintenance Mode only).

F5    - Display the previous month without updating the current month.

F6    - Display the next month without updating the current month.

F10   - Display the DE System Control File Maintenance Function Select screen without updating the Calendar File (In INQUIRY Mode, return to the select screen for a new calendar code/starting date).

F11   - Display the select screen for Calendar File Maintenance without updating the current month.
