This screen allows you to enter information required to display the summarized where-used information for a part.  A summarized where-used lists all unique parents that use the component (directly or indirectly).  All level 1 parents are listed first, then all level 2 parents, etc.

The where-used will contain all parent parts that:

o Have the part type(s) you enter.  If you do not enter any part types, all types will be displayed.

o Are in effect on the effectivity date you enter OR are in effect for the revision level you enter.  You must enter an effectivity date or a revision level; do not enter both.

PLANT

Required.  Used to identify the plant in which inquiry will be done.  The plant must be valid (not blanks or nines) and the user must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File Category 409).  Defaults to the plant assigned to the user's ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.

PART NUMBER

Required.  The component whose summarized where-used you want to display.  The part must exist on the Part Master File.

PARENTS PART TYPES

Optional.  Enter the code for each type of parent you want included in the summarized where-used.  Enter up to two codes.  Codes are defined on the Reference File.  Type an 'X' and press F11 for a detailed explanation of part types.

If you do not enter a code, all part types will be included.

EFFECTIVITY DATE

Optional.  Only parents having the component in effect on this date will be included.  You must enter either an EFFECTIVITY DATE or a REVISION LEVEL; do not type in both fields.

REVISION LEVEL

Optional.  Only parents having the component in effect for this revision level will be included.  You must enter an EFFECTIVITY DATE or a REVISION LEVEL; do not type in both fields.

COMMAND KEYS
