Planning Information

 

Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning use the information defined on the Planning screen within the Part Master Maintenance conversation to create time-phased orders to meet projected demand for MRP parts (manufacturing orders for manufactured and build-thru parts, purchase requisitions for purchased parts and raw materials, transfer orders for transfer parts, etc.).  Information such as the target inventory weeks, lead time, and run units (or run days per piece) is used to determine how and when the orders should be created. 

Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning use this same information to determine the daily production rate required to meet demand.  Consequently, the information on this screen must be entered for both MRP and JIT parts.  Some of the information, however, pertains only to manufactured parts--it should not be entered for purchased parts, raw materials, non-stocked parts, non-standard parts, or transfer parts (unless the transfer part is manufactured in one of the plants that uses it):

·     Run Units
