Codes and Decodes

Each part type is associated with a code and a decode.  The code is the character that you enter on a screen to indicate the part type.  For example, to define an item as a purchased part, you enter 1 in the Part Type field on the Description screen.  The decode is the literal used on screens and reports to indicate the part type.
