Verifying Batch Part Updates

The best way to verify that your Part Master File was correctly updated is to run the DE Audit Trail Report (DEMAINTRPT) both before and after using Batch Part Master Maintenance.  When you submit the DEMAINTRPT, both the DE Audit Trail Report and the Transaction Register Report are printed.  The DE Audit Trail Report shows every file update that has taken place in DE since the last time the Audit Trail Report was run.  If you run this report initially, then again after you have finished your batch part maintenance, you will have a record of every part added, changed, or deleted from the system.  If a part was not updated due to an error, the Transaction Register Report will have error messages explaining the problem.  Use these reports as a check to be sure all the necessary parts have been added correctly.
