Used to review effective capacity definitions for a selected workcenter.

Load Summary Inquiry

The Function Select screen (CP800S01) is displayed.

Used to review the load for a selected workcenter.  Load is displayed for predefined report periods.

Planned Labor Requirements Gen

The Capacity Planning Labor Requirements Generation Request Program (CP080E) is loaded.

The request screen (CP080S01) is displayed.

Used to request that labor requirements be scheduled for orders.  If the Shop Floor Control module is installed, labor requirements generation may be requested for planned orders.  If the Shop Floor Control module is not installed, labor requirements generation may be requested for planned, firmed, and released orders.

Report Period Definition

The Report Period Definition Program (CP120E) is loaded.  The detail screen (CP120S01) is displayed.

Used to define the length of the periods used for load summary inquiry and reporting.

Application System Control

The Capacity Planning System Control File Maintenance Program (CP130E) is loaded.

The detail screen (CP130S01) is displayed.

Used to define required system-wide parameters for the Capacity Planning module.  With this option, you define whether planned labor requirements will be updated for changes to workcenters with existing load or parts with existing orders.  If SF is not installed, it also allows you to specify if load will be calculated for open orders.

The DSPMSG command is submitted for the workstation.

Used to view system messages that have been sent to this workstation's message queue.

Release Submitted Jobs

The Submit Pending Jobs Program (CF070E) is loaded.

The module screen (CF070S02) is displayed.

Used to submit batch jobs (such as report requests) for processing.  The jobs must have already been requested through other menu options.  All pending jobs for the module are displayed and can be selected for submission.

Work with Submitted Jobs

CPWRKSBMJOB

The WRKSBMJOB command is submitted for the user's sign-on ID.

Used to determine the status of batch jobs after they have been submitted from processing.  The job can be routed to a different job queue or printer queue, it can be deleted from the system (if it has not run yet), or any spooled files can be viewed.

Transaction Review

The Capacity Planning Transaction Review Program(CP300E) is loaded.

The reference number entry screen (CP300S01) is displayed.

Used to view requests for batch jobs that have not yet been submitted.  Requests are displayed for the specified user ID (reference number).  As each request is displayed, it can be deleted.  No other changes are allowed to the requests.

The Error File Inquiry screen (DE960S01) is displayed.

Used to view a specific error number and the associated error message.
