This screen is used to record when component parts have been scrapped at an operation. It lists all components required for this manufacturing order. To indicate that one of the components required for this manufacturing order. To indicate that one of the components has been scrapped, enter the quantity scrapped and scrap code on the corresponding line. If necessary, use the page keys to see the complete list of components.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the manufacturing order was created. It was specified on the Function Select screen.
ORDER NUMBER
Display only. The manufacturing order for which the material is being scrapped. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
OPERATION NUMBER AND OPERATION LINE NUMBER
Display only. The operation number from which units have been scrapped. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
PARENT PART/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The part number and description for the parent part being made on this manufacturing order.
REVERSAL CODE
Display only. An 'R' in this field indicates that the transaction will be used to back out a previously entered scrap quantity. This field was entered on the Function Select screen.
EMPLOYEE NUMBER
Display only. Identifies the employee who is reporting the scrap. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
MACHINE NUMBER
Display only. The machine where the scrap was incurred. (This field may be blank for labor-paced operations.) The field was entered on the Function Select screen.
SHIFT NUMBER
Display only. The number of the shift during which the material was scrapped. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
COMPONENT PART NUMBER
Display only. This column lists all components being used to make the parent part for this manufacturing order. Only components having a usage code of "consumed" are displayed. The list is created from the order's component requirements.
COMPONENT PART DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description associated with the part number on the Part Master File.
QUANTITY SCRAPPED
Required. Enter the number of units scrapped. Use the stockkeeping unit of measure. The quantity must be greater than zero. (To reverse a previously entered scrap quantity, enter the quantity as a positive number in this field and make sure that the Reversal Code contains an R.)
SCRAP CODE
Required. Used to identify the reason the material was scrapped. Valid values are defined on Reference File category 457.
DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE
Optional. Used to indicate the department that caused the material to be scrapped. If entered, the field must exist on the Department Master File. Note that this field has no effect on system processing. The scrap will be booked to the scrap account for the department associated with the scrapping operation, not the department entered in this field.
DOCUMENT REFERENCE NUMBER
Optional. Used to indicate any supporting document associated with the scrap transaction. This field has no effect on system processing, and it is not validated.
CONFIGURATION CODE
Display only. Identifies the specific configuration of the component. This field displays only when the subfile is folded (F6=Fold/Truncate).
SEQUENCE NUMBER
Optional. This user-assigned field uniquely identifies an occurrence of a component requirement for the manufacturing order. If the component is not configuration-coded, the sequence must be 0 and only one occurrence of the component is allowed for the order. If the component is configuration-coded, the sequence number may be non-zero and identifies the specific occurrence of this component.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F6- If the subfile is truncated, pressing this key will fold the subfile and display the second line. If the subfile is folded, pressing this key will truncate the subfile and display only.
F10 - Select a material recording function.
F12 - Call the standard Comments Master Maintenance Program (CF190E) to add comments for the manufacturing order.
F15 - Clear input fields.
