This screen is used to identify the company and location for which journals are displayed, and the range of journals to be displayed.  The Journal Inquiry Report can be printed using a 132- or 198-character-wide format depending on the entries in category 025 in the Reference File.  When a 198-character-wide format is selected, extra columns appear on the report.  For more information see the report description of Journal Inquiry Report (GL140) in the report section of this manual.

COMPANY/LOCATION

Required.  This field is used to identify the company/location for which journals will be displayed.

FROM FISCAL PERIOD

Optional.  This field is used to identify the first fiscal period for which journals will be displayed.  Valid values are 01-12 if a 12-period year is used or 01-13 if a 13-period year is used.

FROM FISCAL YEAR

Optional.  This field is used to identify the fiscal year for which the entered fiscal period applies.  If the field is left blank, the current fiscal year is assumed.

TO FISCAL PERIOD

Optional.  This field is used to identify the last fiscal period for which the journals will be displayed.  Valid values are 01-12, if a 12-period year is used; or, 01-13, if a 13-period year is used.

TO FISCAL YEAR

Optional.  This field is used to identify the fiscal year for which the entered fiscal period applies.  If the field is left blank, the current fiscal year is assumed.

FROM JOURNAL NUMBER

Optional.  This field is used to identify the first journal to be displayed.

TO JOURNAL NUMBER

Optional.  This field is used to identify the last journal to be displayed.

REPORTING CLASS

Optional if management accounts are used.  Enter the management reporting class of the journal(s) you want to inquire into.  Valid values are:

C - Common

F - Fiscal

M - Management This field is only displayed if the Use Management Accounts flag on Reference File category 133 is set to yes (Y).

COMMAND KEYS

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Exit program without processing the entered data.

F4    - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned.  If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
