Bank Remittance Maintenance

The Bank Remittance Maintenance conversation can be used to maintain bank information and manually select an existing payment for bank remittance.  Payments which have already been remitted to the bank or which have been canceled will be displayed on the next screen, but no update will be possible.

Select Transaction Screen

1.   Enter the Bank Remittance Maintenance option on the Draft Management Menu.  This will display the Transaction Header screen (DM120S01).

Enter Payment

2.   To enter a payment to maintain, you must enter the customer, payment type and number.  The payment for the customer must exist on the Bank Remittance File (DMBKRM).

To validated the data, press the ENTER key.  If the data is valid, the Transaction Detail screen (DM120S02) is displayed.

If any field is invalid, the Transaction Header screen is redisplayed, the invalid field is highlighted, and an error message is displayed.

The Transaction Detail screen allows you to specify bank and remittance data for bank remittance.  For any payments that have already been remitted or canceled, no update is possible.  The top portion of the screen contains display only information such as the customer, customer name, bank company/location, amount, payment type, dates, and the remittance type selected at payment entry time.

Enter data related to the bank and remittance on the enterable fields on the Transaction Detail screen.  Bank information is required only if needed for remittance (flags defined on Reference File category F45).  These fields must be left blank if not needed for remittance.

Remittance information includes remittance status, remittance type, remittance support, remittance number, remittance date and bank code.  If remittance status is entered, the remittance type, remittance support, and bank code must be entered.  If remittance status is entered, it must be 'M' (manual).

End Transaction

3.   To validate the data, press the ENTER key.  If the data is valid, the bank remittance record is updated and a blank Transaction Header screen is displayed.  For this transaction, the message Transaction Successfully Processed is displayed on the new screen.

Cancel Transaction

4.   To cancel any transaction, press F10 - Function Select on the detail screen.  For the transaction, no files will be updated, and a blank Transaction Header screen is displayed.
