This screen allows you to maintain price list detail information.  On this screen, you can maintain part/price combinations associated with the price list you entered on the Function Select screen.

Note that when you use price list pricing (price code = A), all base prices entered on the price list will be used in place of the part's base price (as defined in the Warehouse Balance File).  This means that any discounts that apply to an order using this price list will deduct the discount amount from the price indicated here rather than the part's warehouse balance price.

In this conversation, you may maintain price breaks, comments, and user-defined fields.  To maintain price breaks for price list lines, press F5.  To maintain comments for the price list header and its lines, press F12.  To maintain user-defined information associated with the price list, press F7.

AS OF DATE

Optional.  Indicates the as of date that you entered on the Function Select screen.  If you are adding a price list and an as of date was not entered on the Function Select screen, it will default to today's date.  This field is used as a horizon date; if entered, the screen only displays price list lines that are effective on or after the specified date.  This feature is useful if you have a part which is listed multiple times on the price list each with a different base price and effectivity date or if you maintain the same price list for multiple years, but only want to display and maintain the current year's data.

POSITION TO

Optional.  Enter an alphanumeric character or part number if you wish to reposition to that location with the line detail records.

LINE STATUS

Optional in change mode, not displayed in add mode.  Indicates the status of the part/price line.  If a line is inactive, it will be displayed in reverse image.  Valid values are defined on Reference File category G70.  As lines are added to the price list, they automatically have a status of active.  You may change the status to inactive by entering an I in this field.  If the Active Records flag on the Function Select screen is set to N, the line will then be ineligible but will still be displayed.  If the Active Records flag on the Function Select screen is set to Y, the inactive records will not be displayed.  If you want to delete the line from the price list, enter a D in this field.  The line will then be deleted and will no longer display in the price list.

PART DESCRIPTION

Display only.  Indicates the description associated with the part.  The part's description can be changed in the Part Master Maintenance conversation.

BASE PRICE

Optional in change mode, required for all lines in add mode.  Indicates the base price associated with the part.  This value of this field overrides the part's base price (as defined in the Warehouse Balance File).  This means that any discounts that apply to an order using this price list will deduct the discount amount from this base price rather than the part's warehouse balance price.  Note that the base price for each item is defined in terms of the price list unit of measure.  When retrieved onto a sales order line, this price is converted to the warehouse balance unit of measure.

START DATE

Display only in change mode, optional in add mode.  Indicates the date this line becomes effective.  If you entered a default start date on the Function Select screen, it will transfer to each line's start date but can be manually overridden.  If you leave this field blank, it will default to today making the line effective immediately.  This line will be in effect until it becomes inactive.  This can either be done manually via the deactivate maintenance option on the Function Select screen or automatically when another line on this price list (that is associated with the same part) becomes effective.

PRICE LIST UNIT OF MEASURE

Required.  Indicates the unit of measure used specifically for this price list line.  Valid units of measure are defined on Reference File category 005.  Note that this unit of measure is only applicable as it relates to the unit base price entered for the part.  The price list unit of measure is not the same as the pricing unit of measure (from the Warehouse Balance File), which is used on sales orders.  If nothing is entered, this field will default to the pricing unit of measure associated with the part's product class or the selling unit of measure as defined on the Part Master File.

Note:  When pricing a sales order line, the base price from this price list is converted from the price list pricing unit of measure to the warehouse balance pricing unit of measure.

APPLY DISCOUNT FLAG

Required.  Indicates whether discounts can be applied to this line.  Valid values are:  Y (yes, allow discounts to be applied against this base price) or N (no, do not allow discounts to be applied to this line).  This field defaults to Y.  If price list pricing is used on the sales/quote order line, this flag defaults onto the line.

PRICE BREAK FLAG

Required in add mode; display only in change mode.  Indicates whether or not price breaks there are price breaks associated with this line.  This field defaults to Y.  If you wish to enter or maintain price breaks, put an 'X' in the Select field associated with the line and press F5 to display the Price Break screen.
