This screen is used to enter or change text associated with the job entered on the Function Select screen. Up to 99 lines of text can be associated with the job. Use the page keys to display additional lines. No validation is performed on the comment text. The descriptive information at the top of the screen is retrieved from the job's record on the Job Master File. This information can be changed using the Job Setup and Maintenance conversation.
JOB NUMBER
Display only. The job number entered on the Function Select screen.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Display only. Retrieved from the Job Master File. Brief text describing the job.
JOB STATUS CODE
Display only. Retrieved from the Job Master File. Indicates whether the job is open (O), closed (C), or costing closed (Z). Additional codes are defined on Reference File category D46.
PROJECT MANAGER
Display only. The code and name of the person responsible for the job. Project managers are defined on Reference File category D46.
JOB GROUP
Display only. The number and description of the group associated with the job. Job groups are defined on Reference File category D47.
CUSTOMER
Display only. The number and name of the bill-to customer who will be paying for the items covered by the job. Displayed only after the job has been associated with a sales order.
CO/LOC
Display only. The general ledger company and location where the customer is defined. These fields are displayed only after the job has been associated with a sales order.
COMMENT TEXT
Optional. Enter up to 99 free format lines of text describing the job.
COMMAND KEYS
F13 - Cancels any updates made during this session and returns you to the Function Select screen.
F15 - Cancels updates made during this session but remains in the conversation.
F22 - Will update the Comments File with any changes made and return you to the Function Select screen.
