Project Manager and Job Group Codes

Project managers and job groups are defined on the Reference File.  Project manager codes can be up to seven characters long; job group codes can be up to eight characters long.  Both features are completely optional.  When both project manager and job group codes are used, they can be treated independently or linked as explained below.

Each job group code can be assigned a project manager code when it is defined on the Reference File.  This feature lets you create separate groups for each of your project managers, allowing them to combine purchases for all jobs under their control.  If you choose to assign project managers to job groups, the manager associated with a group will be used as the default manager for all jobs assigned to that group.
